Jay-Z’s releasing a Decoded which is a 336-page book of a collection of lyrics and their meaning that together tell the story of a culture, an art form, a moment in history of one of the most provocative and successful artists of our time. The publication hits stores in November. Below is a list of songs that Hov will ‘decode’ for us.

Ok, so alot of these are pretty good choices for “decoding”. Who wouldn’t like to hear the stories behind “Early This Morning” and “Coming of Age”, or the inspiration for some of the lines in “PSA” or “Moment of Clarity”? But WHAT DO YOU MEAN no “You Must Love Me”?! What’s the point of even doing the book if you’re not gonna break down that song? Then again, I guess if we’re being realistic, how deep is Jay really going to get into anything that may have happened to inspire this music.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that some of these double as bonuses from his recent Greatest Hits album (“Young Gifted and Black,” “My President Is Black,” “Most Kings”).
