| It makes a year today that the Brooklyn Emcee, Mike Beck passed away. For those that don't know Mike Beck was once a member of the hip hop group K.A.R (Kill All Rats) which was part of Fat Joe's Terror Squad. He left the group to further his career and form his own company, Heavy Bank. Mike Beck built a strong report with many well known members of the hip hop community and collaborated with many established rappers during his short time in the music industry. On october 30th 2009 Hip Hop lost an inspiring rapper and father when Mike Beck was shot and killed on the streets of East New York, Brooklyn. The same streets that raised Mike took his life. People from all over showed their support for Mike Beck as well over 1200 people flowed threw his funeral to say their last good byes. Today, a year later, we Celebrate the Life of Mike Beck with this tribute track put together by his close friends 3.2.6.'s PoeRilla, Tha Embassy Elite, Mizzle, Equan, J Mendez, Munchdawg, & Cuban Link. |

So it seems like R.Kelly’s ode to his deceased homies and fallen family members was originally slated for Tupac Shakur. In this months XXL Magazine, R.Kelly breaks down one of his most celebrated creations, TP2.com piece by piece. Within that, Kellz explains how not only was ‘I Wish’ intended for Mr. Shakur but another collaborative effort as well.Well ‘I Wish’ was basically about Tupac at first. I met Tupac in L.A.- the [Hotel Nikko], and he was rolling by in his drop-top whatever hot car. I seen him, and I yelled out, “‘Pac! ‘Pac!” He was driving by, rolling by himself. I’m like, ‘This nigga got a lot of balls to be rolling by hisself!” So we kicked it for a minute, I said “Dude, we need to do an album.” See, The Best Of Both Worlds was for me and Pac at first. “I Wish” was gonna be the first song we were gonna do. |

Kanye West Finishes Album
While we wait for tonight’s G.O.O.D Friday track, Kanye revealed on twitter tonight that he’s put the final touches on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. So I guess that means we can expect an album leak sometime soon? Regardless, be sure to hit the store (or iTunes) on November 22nd and support as usual.
